Our first application tackled button smashing. Our second app took drawing to a whole new quirky level. For this app, we decided to go a little old school by creating our own spin on a classic game–namely, word jumble-type games. We call our cool little application Anagram Twist.
Like most unscramble games, you are in charge of completing the matching six letter word. In Anagram Twist though, the six letter word corresponds to the category the puzzle is in. Get the word right and you’ll get a star to move onto the next puzzle. Finish unscrambling all of the letters and you’ll earn an even bigger star (yippee!). Play at your own pace and move onto puzzles that you want to play, the control is in your hands.
With thousands of unique words, hundreds of exciting levels, and multiple categories to choose from, Anagram Twist is sure to keep you entertained.
As we’re well into the holiday season, we’re also celebrating the release of Anagram Twist with a free holiday themed puzzle pack. Unlock it while it’s still available.
Thanks again for all of your support. We hope that you enjoy Anagram Twist!
We, here at OmNom Apps, have been busy coming up with our latest concoction. It’s been a little while but it’s with great pride that we introduce to you, Scribblr.
Scribblr is a fun and addicting game that combines drawing with how well you know your Facebook friends.
Connect with Facebook to draw things about your friends, or create images for yourself. Doodle your way through dozens of things to draw then share them with your friends.
Play and laugh by yourself or with others for an entertaining time with friends. Scribble something barely recognizable or create a masterpiece. Sketch something realistic or downright fantastic. Be silly. Be playful. Be cute. Maybe all of the above.
We’ve put a whole bunch of fun and random things in Scribblr. With your help, we hope to add some more. Have a prompt you would like to suggest? Perhaps a drawing or two you’ve found particularly funny? Maybe you have a feature you would like us to add to the application? Let us know.
Thanks again for all of your support. We hope you enjoy this little game as much as we do. 🙂
We’ve been working really hard for the past few weeks on a few really cool things–one of which is a pretty extensive update to Button Smasher. This update includes new sounds, graphics, and power-ups aimed at making the game faster, more exciting and strategic than ever before.
If you’ve played the game before, you may have noticed that we’ve removed the outline of the clock in favor of a circular power-up bar. You also may have noticed that chain has been replaced with icons. These icons represent the various power-ups that you can receive.
Each power-up adds a new dimension to the game and are designed to provide benefits to different types of gamers. Power-ups include invincibility (shield), automatic points (arrow), a reduction in the number of shapes generated (shapes), multiplier (lightning bolt), and the ability to add time (clock).
The shield prevents you from being affected by errors during the time it’s activated.
The arrow increases your score by 10,000 points over the course of 10 seconds.
The shape power-up makes it so you only have to press one of two shapes while it’s in use.
The lightning bolt increases your bonus by two times.
Last but not least, the clock adds one second to your time for every successful button smash.
It takes seven smashes to achieve the next level of power-up, which can be activated at any time using the button on the right.
There are more updates in the pipeline to look forward to, including Game Center. In the meantime, have fun with this update and good luck in becoming an Ultimate Button Smasher.
It’s been a long way coming, but we finally submitted our first application yesterday evening. We created a few more applications before this, but neither of them stood out enough for us to fully pursue. That said, we rather like this one 🙂 (NOTE: Tony will probably detail our development process and include some tips/tricks later on down the line. Look forward to this.) Button Smash is a simple game meant to bring to life the drawings of a fun-loving youngster–that youthful spirit inside all of us. We’ve all had times where we’ve drawn random shapes. Perhaps we’ve even imagined them come to life. This application brings those drawings to life in the form of a game where you have to push the shapes (the buttons) at the bottom of the screen that correspond to the highlighted shapes above. In this game, you compete against yourself and with others to get the highest score and longest chain.
In game tutorial!
Shapes draw and pop when you press the buttons at the bottom.
How fast can you go? Compete against friends on OpenFeint. The music was created by Mike Choi. The random doodles in the background were drawn by Chris Asuncion. We hope that you enjoy this game. Look for it in the App Store soon (we will also post an update here when it’s ready). We look forward to working with the community to add more features and build even better applications. Thanks for your continued support.
